For Christmas, 2 years ago, my brother, Joey, gave me my GlassOuse assistive glasses! GlassOuse glasses are designed to help people who cannot use technology due to limited abilities and give them more control of their computers, phones and smart TVs. At first, I didn’t have much use for the glasses, I would never have imagined how much I would end up using them! They make it possible to do so much on my own. The two planets will make a bright ’star' in the night sky.
This happens every 20 years or so, but this is the closest and brightest they will be in almost 800 years. I can’t help but think tonight’s ‘Christmas star’ is the same sort of star that led the wise men to Jesus! What do y’all think?⭐️

The first Christmas after my accident, as a new quadriplegic, I didn’t know what I wanted because I didn’t know what I could actually use. It was difficult to think of a single thing that I could benefit from having. That year, my high school principal and teachers reached out to my family. They wanted to trade in their tradition for swapping faculty gifts, and all go in to provide gifts for me instead. They all came over with arms full of things I could use!They helped make that Christmas very special for me and I will always remember their kindness. This will be my 4th Christmas since my accident, so now I have plenty of ideas for gifts for people with a spinal cord injury! About 2 years ago, I was having a lot of upper back pain. I told my doctor my problem and he said that I would most likely always have pain. But, I didn't want to believe that! Not long after that, one of my therapists suggested dry needling and I have been hooked ever since! It treated all of my back pain!!! Click the link in my bio to learn more about it!!!

My brother, Joey, tells me this all the time. But, he doesn’t mean it literally— He says it to remind me that only I can make myself stronger. That I need to be moving as much as I can throughout the day, because that’s the only way I will make progress. As much as my family does for me, they can’t workout for me. Only I can do it!!!
